Breakdown of Ingredients:
Hemp Seed Oil: Hemp oil has numerous health benefits, including those that improve skin health. It’s so beneficial for skin health thanks to its nourishing vitamins and moisturising qualities. One of the omega-6 fatty acids that hemp oil contains is gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory while simultaneously encouraging skin growth and new cell generation. This can help to calm inflammation and irritation on the skin, including acne and some conditions like psoriasis, while keeping the skin nourished and moisturised.
Jojoba Oil: Jojoba oil is a humectant ingredient. This means that it works to seal your skin with a protective barrier to keep it from losing moisture. This may help prevent bacterial infections, acne, and dandruff from forming. Jojoba oil contains natural forms of vitamin E. This vitamin works with your skin as an antioxidant. This means that jojoba oil can help your skin fight oxidative stress caused by everyday exposure to pollutants and other toxins. Although jojoba oil is a botanical substance, its makeup is so similar to the oil (sebum) your body naturally produces that your skin can’t tell the difference. This makes it less likely to build up on your skin and clog your pores, leading to fewer breakouts and less severe acne. Jojoba oil regulates sebum production because it’s so similar to the sebum that your body produces naturally. When you put jojoba oil on your skin, your skin is soothed and moisturised. This sends a signal to your hair and sweat follicles that your skin doesn’t need additional sebum for hydration. Jojoba oil has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Topical application may help relieve dryness, flaking, itching, and related symptoms. People who have inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema may find jojoba oil especially beneficial.
Kakadu Plum Oil: Did you know that Kakadu plums have been identified as the world’s richest source of Vitamin C? These plums contain 3000mg of Vitamin C per 100g of fruit!1 This is more than fifty times the amount found in oranges! It’s no wonder this fruit is considered a superfood as it it’s full of antioxidants, bioactive and medicinal properties. Kakadu plums are also rich in phytochemical, which have anti-carcinogenic, anti fungal, antiviral and anti inflammatory properties.
Carrot Seed Oil: Carrot Seed Essential Oil is also good for the complexion. Like carrots themselves, it strengthens red blood cells and adds suppleness and tone to your skin, helping to keep it fresh and youthful looking. It also has a reputation for removing age spots.
Red Raspberry Seed Oil: The oil possesses high levels of alpha and gamma tocopherols, vitamin A and omega-6 fatty acids. It is known to have absorbance in the UV-B and UV-C ranges suggesting that it may be useful in a broad spectrum UV protectant in skincare formulations. The oil is also rich in alpha linolenic acid suggesting anti-inflammatory properties.
Rose Geranium Seed Oil: A 2017 review of studies on geranium essential oil indicated that its antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties make it beneficial for reducing acne breakouts, skin irritation, and skin infections when applied topically. Geranium essential oil’s anti-inflammatory properties also make it beneficial for a number of inflammatory conditions, including those affecting skin. One study found that geranium essential oil shows promise as a potential anti-inflammatory medication with few side effects.
